2012 comes to a close, speeding through the last 7 months like a demonically-possessed freight train with no brakes left.
Some highlights:
- A new electronic keyboard so the kids can start more formal music training/appreciation (or more noise possibilities – hmmm….)
- A large-format poster I designed for the Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) won an award at a national Medicaid conference.
- Reading Measured Tones: The Interplay of Physics and Music – this is a fantastic read and how I wish I could have started with this as my introduction to music theory.
- An amazingly productive year at work – I’ll have to check my stats for specifics but I think I completed more projects this year than any other year at my employer.
- Completed my first “formal” ASP .NET project – interesting stuff.
- Learning how to style/design and customize SharePoint. A challenge and Microsoft could make this stuff much easier. But we like a good challenge…
- Getting to work on a cool “preview” project that may unlock future business/project opportunities for my group – super exciting.
- The youngest kid finally learns how to sleep… until she gets a cold or teeths. But we’ll take it as a win. She also walks now. Doors are now kept shut.
- Seeing a mutual college friend of my wife and I get married to a really awesome guy and getting to hang out with family in the west. Fantastic.
- New frying pan! Works great! Thanks bro!
- Enjoying the holidays with family and friends
- Eggnog…that is all.
